Every year around this time I dig into my blog statistics and emerge, blinking, with a mixture of gratitude and confusion about what people are actually searching for on the internet.
This year did not disappoint.
Most viewed posts of 2012

- 101 Fun Things to Do This Autumn — this one surprised me; apparently people really do want a list

The best search terms that brought people here
Oh, this is the part I look forward to every year. These are real search terms people typed into Google and somehow ended up on my modest Australian mum blog:
- “can you be a southern belle in australia” — yes! In spirit! With sunscreen!
- “things to do when bored winter australia mum at home” — friend, I see you, this whole blog is for you. If you ever find yourself in that exact situation, my 101 ways to beat the winter blues was made precisely for you.
- “what does only a breath mean bible” — Psalm 102:3, and I’m genuinely touched you went looking. If scripture is something you want to sit with more intentionally, there are some Bible verses for anxiety and worry that might be a good place to start.
- “free planner printable for christian mums australia” — this is literally who I made that for, so thank you for existing
- “101 things autumn with kids no money” — you’ve come to the right place
- “one word for the year examples funny” — I don’t know if my words are funny but they are earnest, which is almost the same. If you’re still looking for your word, this guide on how to choose a word of the year walks you through the whole process with more than 100 word ideas to get you started.
The internet is a strange and wonderful place. Thank you for finding your way here through whatever slightly odd search term brought you, and for staying.
Happy New Year. I hope 2013 is everything you’re hoping for.
